Kenmore dryer models

Kenmore is a brand name, and Kenmore dryers have been built by different makers over the years. That is why parts and fixes change from one model to the next. The model number tells you which dryer you have.

How to find your model number

  1. Open the dryer door and look on the door frame or the inside edge of the opening.
  2. Look on the back panel or the side of the cabinet.
  3. Look in the manual or on the receipt.

Kenmore dryer model numbers usually have a dot in them, with a few digits before it. The first digits often show who built the dryer. For example, 110 and 796 are common starts. Write the whole number down.

Why the model number matters

  • It tells you the right belt, fuse or switch.
  • It tells you whether the dryer is gas or electric.
  • It lets you find the right manual and parts diagram.
